The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.
Project Highlights
Vancouver will use this grant to buy a 2.4-acre neighborhood park in a heavily developed residential area in northeast Vancouver known as East Image. The neighborhood is fully developed, and the property provides the only opportunity for a nearly 3-acre park in the area. The park would serve about 3,950 people. Future improvements will include open play fields, trails, children’s play equipment, picnic tables and a sports court.
