The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.
Project Highlights
The Clark County Department of Public Works will use this grant to develop the first phase of Curtin Creek Community Park, located on 72nd Avenue in Vancouver. The 16.18-acre area includes gently rolling pasture with mountain views. The County will build walking paths, a large parking lot, wildlife viewing areas, a combined restroom and maintenance building, a playground, 1 natural surface sports field, and 1 synthetic surface sports field with lighting. In addition, the County will install sport court amenities, picnic shelters, and benches. The primary recreation opportunities provided by this project are picnicking, walking, soccer and baseball.
