The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.
Project Highlights
The project description is changed to reflect approval of obsolescence of the pool that was renovated with grant funding in 1998. The renovation of the pool was the scope of work completed with the grant. RCO approved removing the pool from the project agreement under the condition that Crown Park remains open and available for public outdoor recreation in perpetuity. Original Project Description: The Camas Pool, which is the only publicly owned outdoor pool in all of Clark County, is nearly forty years old. Many of the mechanical and electrical systems are near the end of their useful life expectancy. An evaluation of the Camas Pool was completed by the ORB organization in 1993. Using this study and citizen comments, the Camas Pool Renovation Project will repair or modify those deficiencies that are considered operating, health, or safety problems. This will help ensure the continued operation of the swimming pool.
