The WWRP is the largest source of local parks funding in Washington, helping communities fund the acquisition, development, and renovation of vital recreation areas and green spaces.
Project Highlights
In the fall of 2001, Asotin County passed a $6,720,000 bond levy to construct a family aquatic center that will serve the residents of Asotin County and other neighbor communities in the Lewis/Clark valley. The aquatic center will include a zero depth pool, a traditional lap pool, a lazy river, waterslides, interactive water play structures, picnic sites, a playground and sand volleyball courts. The pool project will provide a safe environment for recreation. By design, the facility will attract a wide range of age groups that will promote intergenerational understanding, it will serve as a resource for swimming, water safety and many other water related activities. Scope elements include water slides, landscaping, parking, park furniture, and other amenities.
