Description
The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission will use this grant to buy 10.5 acres, including 870 feet of ocean waterfront. The land is zoned for development. The Seaview Dunes area of the Long Beach Peninsula provides one of the most spectacular views along the Washington coast and has long received local protection. However, local zoning allowed a handful of sites to be residential, and these now are proposed for development. Acquisition of these lands is part of a multi-year plan to obtain property along the southern portion of the Long Beach Peninsula in the Seview Dunes area.(08-1808)

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
