Description:

Acquisition of 67 acres of wetlands and wildlife habitat in central Bainbridge Island. This is the largest contiguous unit of wetlands on the island, and is habitat for a great variety of wildlife. Will allow for their preservation and enhancement along with eventual development of a significant interpretive resource.

Location:
Located on the west side of SR 305 from Koura Road to the north, to Beachcrest Drive on the South. The property borders SR 30 from Koura Road South, about half way; then the border moves westward the balance of the way to a line west of Beachcrest Drive, leaving an excluded parcel of 20 acres the balance of the distance along SR 30.

WHAT IS THE WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
