Status: Funded in 2009
WWRP Grant: $60,000
Project Type: Restoration
County: Grays Harbor

Description

The Washington Department of Natural Resources will use this grant to restore about 5 acres of shoreline and bank along the Chehalis River near the end of Preacher's Slough road in the Chehalis River Surge Plain Natural Area Preserve. The preserve is a wetland that represents the highest quality habitat for fish and wildlife in the Chehalis Basin. This is one of the very few degraded areas in the natural area.
