Wonderwood Community Park

The city of Lacey's Wonderwood Park project inlcuded both new construction and rehabilitation of some existing facilities. After thirty years of heavy use at this popular park, replacement of park facilities and added amenities were needed to meet new service demands. The rehabilitation efforts included: full reconstruction of two restrooms; reconfiguration of the southern parking lot; replacement of the infield surface of two youth baseball/softball fields; and resurfacing asphalt walkways. New construction included: a restroom adjacent to the two athletic fields; a picnic shelter and equipment; 1,800 feet of asphalt walkway; two new park entrance signs; a security gate for the parking lot; and a new separate playground equipped for preschool children.

I-5 / Northbound Exit 108 to College St. - Right on College - Heading south on College, turn left onto 31st St - turn right / then left onto 32nd, 32nd is the west entrance to the park.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
