Trout Lake, Wetlands NAP

This wetland site in Klickitat County provides vital habitat for a variety of endangered, threatened, and candidate species such as bald eagles, spotted frogs, sandhill cranes, great blue herons, cavity nesting ducks, Merriam's turkeys, pileated woodpeckers, black-tailed deer, and elk. The site is considered one of the most valuable in Washington by amphibian experts.

Northwest of the town of Trout Lake.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
