This acquisition is just over one linear mile of hard-packed trail (12+ acres) that was the Washington Water Power/Medical Lake Railroad bed. The property includes wooded areas and is adjacent to a 200+ wooded tract of state land. The trail is currently used by hikers, running groups, mountain bikers and equestrians. This property, along with two future donations, will connect with the Fish Lake Trail and Centennial Trail.

From I-90 East, take South Grove Road (Exit 276) southeast .5 miles, West Thorpe Road east 1.1 miles, and South Assembly Road northeast .3 miles to subject property.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
