This 360 acre acquisition lies within the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area in Skamania County and contains one of the oldest forests on the Washington side of the gorge. The area also contains prime Peregrine Falcon habitat, salmonid stocks, and a diversity of other species including elk. The project will protect the area from resource damage and will increase its viability.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
