Southwest Park
- Status
- Funded in 1997
This project acquires 20 acres for park development in southwest Quincy. This park site is adjacent to a future elementary school and is situated in the most rapidly growing section of the city. Geographically isolated by two state highways, this portion of the city is not adequately served. The new park will provide much needed community fields, play areas, courts, paths, and possibly, an amphitheater.
Location
Quincy is located 10 miles north of I-90 in Grant County. Traveling North on State Route 281 turn left on N Street SW and travel 3 blocks to 7th Avenue. This is the terminus of both N Street and 7th Avenue. The site is immediately southwest of the imaginary extension of these two roadways.
