Snohomish Riverfront Trail

The City of Snohomish is requesting WWRP assistance to construct an approximately ¾ mile trail along the Snohomish River, the city’s southern border. This new trail will provide an important non-road route through the city. Snohomish is a destination point for many trail users and there is a pressing need to provide a safe, scenic route through town. This project includes engineering and construction of the trail and related development, such as parking, paving, landscaping, fishing and water access, and viewpoints. The accessible trail will connect community facilities, including Cady Park, Kla-Ha-Ya Park, the public library, Pilchuck Recreational area, the city boat launch, and Snohomish County’s Centennial Trail system between King and Skagit Counties.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
