Snohomish River Delta Wetlands

Protection for cattail/bullrush marshes south of Marysville which help maintain the natural water quality of the Snohomish River estuary. Area acquired also provides important habitat for eagles, herons, songbirds, and waterfowl. Wildlife watching tourism in the area has developed into a viable business.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
