Project to secure approximately 4,427 acres of critical wetlands, including both fresh and saltwater estuaries and tidelands. This wetland habitat, located in Snohomish and Skagit Counties, supports a wide variety of wildlife from waterfowl and bald eagle to coyote and black-tailed deer. The area is popular for hunting as well as bird watching.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
