Silverspot Butterfly Habitat

WDFW acquired 50 acres on Loomis Lake on the tip of the Long Beach Peninsula, near Ledbetter Point. This interdunal area has an abundance of violets which provide a food source for the Silverspot Butterfly. Better public access to Loomis Lake, a popular trout fishing area, is also be provided.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
