Silver Lake Fishing Dock

The Department of Fish and Wildlife will use this grant to build a fishing dock at Silver Lake, a popular year-round site near Medical Lake for fishing, boating, swimming, and wildlife watching. The department's access site has two boat ramps and two restrooms but no access for shore anglers. Anglers must fish from the shoreline next to the boat ramps, causing conflicts between users. Work also will include building a viewing platform.

Location

Take the Four Lakes (exit 270) off I-90 then south on Hwy 940 approximately 1/4 mile and right on W. Medical Lake Four Lakes Rd. Go approximately 3 miles then left on S. Freeman Drive. Go approximately 200 ft, then left into the WDFW access site.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
