Rock Creek Pond Water Access Facilities

Skamania County will use this grant to build a boat launch ramp and other amenities at Rock Creek Cove Pond, completing the third and final phase of shoreline improvements to this property, which is adjacent to Rock Creek Park in Stevenson. Work will include building a concrete ramp for launching car-top and small trailered boats, a boarding float, a separate fishing platform, additional parking, boat storage, and a restroom. The pond is accessible from the Columbia River and provides safe access from the river for kayaks and other non-motorized boats. The park provides camping and day-use facilities for touring kayakers and canoeists. Skamania County will contribute $76,298.
