Railroad Bridge Park Expansion

This 18 acre acquisition along the Dungeness River complements an existing 5 acre site that features a renovated railroad trestle. The acquisition expands physical access to the river, protects salmon habitat, and assures that the community will be able to use, enjoy, and learn about the riverine environment and associated ecosystems.
Location
From Sequim: Proceed west on SR 101 to Priest Road, turn right. Travel north to Hendrickson Road, turn left. Follow Hendrickson Road until its termination at the Park. From Port Angeles: Proceed east on SR 101 to Carlsborg Road, turn left. Travel north to Runnion Road, turn right. Follow Runnion Road approximately one mile, turn right into parking lot. Proceed 1/2 mile on pedestrian trail.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
