This acquisition secured high priority properties within three Puget Trough NAP sites including Dabob Bay, Kennedy Creek, and Dailey Prairie. The sites contain high quality freshwater wetlands, saltwater marshes, and rare remnant high quality native forest communities. All sites contribute to Puget Sound’s water quality and have important plant and animal life.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
