This project completes acquisition of about 14 acres to an existing 35 acre site which the city will develop for a future community park south of I-90. The property is located in a fast growing residential area. The site helps form the headwaters to Lewis Creek, an identified salmon spawning stream that flows into Lake Sammamish.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
