Odlin Park Renovation - Phase II

Status
Funded in 2009
WWRP Applicant: San Juan County WWRP Category: Local Parks WWRP Grant: $155,331 Applicant Match: $155,331 Project Type: Development County: San Juan  Legislative District: 40th

San Juan County will use this grant to renovate the 80-acre Odlin County Park on Lopez Island. Odlin is popular for access to the beach, picnicking, boating, and camping. The San Juan Islands, with their spectacular natural beauty and abundant wildlife, are a significant tourist destination. Odlin's facilities are dilapidated and inadequate to meet today's demand for beach access, camping, accessible picnicking facilities, and visitor information. Using the grant, San Juan County will add electrical hook-ups for recreational vehicles (RVs) at four campsites, develop a new group camp and two Adirondack shelters, re-locate the campground entrance road to reduce congestion and improve safety, expand picnic and beach access, and improve site layout. San Juan County will contribute $155,331.

RCO Project Number: 06-1570
