Mt. Spokane - Quartz Mtn. acquisition

To provide public viewpoints, improve trail access and eliminate park users’ unintentional trespass, this project acquires a key inholding at Mt. Spokane State Park. Quartz Mountain has long been recognized as an essential land addition to the park. The acquisition of this area will provide an outstanding viewpoint in all directions. Mt. Spokane State Park already enjoys a network of trails for summer and winter use and connecting trails on this parcel will enhance the existing system.
Location
Mount Spokane State Park is located 30 miles northeast of the City of Spokane at the end of State Route 206. Go north of Spokane on Hwy 2, turn right on SR206, drive approximately 15 miles to park.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
