Mount Si Interpretative Trail

This proposal is to construct a trailhead (35 vehicle capacity), with restroom, information board, interpretive sign and trail connection to provide safe public access to the Little Si hiking trail and rock climbing area. This project solves a long standing health and safety issue by providing direct public access to one of the region's most popular recreation areas within 45 minutes of Seattle. The proposal was identified as the number one priority in the Mount Si Public Use Plan. The proposed trailhead will be constructed within the NRCA thus omitting crossing of private property.

Location

45 minutes east of Seattle and north of I-90 near North Bend. Start at I-90 Exit 32. Go North for 0.2 mi. Turn left on SE North Bend Way. Go 0.4 mi. Turn right on 432 Ave. SE (Mt. Si Rd). Go 2.3 mi. Trailhead on left.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
