Morrill Meadows Park Development

This project develops a neighborhood park into a community park to serve this rapidly growing area which lacks recreation opportunities. The project will help meet needs for nature trails, group picnic shelters, multi-use space, play equipment, and parking for large group activities. Intended uses preserve habitat while allowing ADA accessible trails for interpretive opportunities.
Location
Take Kent Des Moines exit off of Interstate 5 and proceed east to S. Central. Turn left on S. Central and then right on Smith Street. Go to the top of the hill and turn left on 104th Avenue SE. Turn right on S 248th Street for approximately one block. The park site will be on your left.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
