This acquisition project by the city of Kent protects 3.17 acres to expand and connect East Hill and Morrill Meadows Parks, two existing parks. The acquisition of these properties has long been a priority for the city's Parks Department in order to create a community park to serve this rapidly growing area, which is currently deficient in park facilities. Future development will include installation of barrier-free accessible walking trails, a multiple-purpose softball/soccer area, two pickle ball courts, a second tennis court, and a picnic shelter/restroom facility. This project will help meet the needs of East Hill residents for parks and outdoor recreation.

From I-5, exit 149, turn east (down hill) 3.5 miles to ""T"" at Central, turn left/north to Smith, then right/east to 104th SE, then Left/north to SE 248th, then right/east on SE248th to the 10900 Block (immediatly past/east of Morrill Meadows Park. On left/north side.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
