Methow Wildlife Corridor Phase 4

This 15,00 acre acquisition in Okanogan County includes several willing seller priority sites in the Methow Valley. It implements objectives of a cooperative study on mule deer done by WFDW and the U.S. Forest Service that identifies the migration corridors and wintering areas necessary for survival of the herd.
Location
The Methow is accessed from Highway 97 up the Methow River on Highway 153. It is three to four miles north of Winthrop along Chewack Road.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
