Mercer Slough Habitat

This development project enhances the diversity of landscape types in the existing Mercer Slough by constructing features conducive to native wildlife. Elements of the project include building new ponds, marshes, meadows, and swamps for the 168 wildlife species which frequent the slough.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
