Lower Woodland Skate Park - Phase I

Seattle's proposal is to develop a premier public skateboard park at its popular Lower Woodland Park, just southeast of Green Lake Park. This grant will help pay for the first phase of development, which include adding the basic infrastructure for the full project, improving adjacent features, and completing 14,000 square feet of the overall 23,000-square-foot planned skate park. Ultimately, the skate park will include bowl and street skating features, a viewing area with benches for spectators, fencing, and signs.

Location

Site is located at Aurora Ave. N./N. 59th Street. From I-5 take exit #169-N. 50th Street, go west on N. 50th Street until you reach E. Green Lake Way N. Take a right and stay in the left lane. Turn left on W. Green Lake Way N. (just after the ball fields) and take the next left into the Tennis court parking lot. Project site is at the end of the parking lot behind the ball fields.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
