The Department of Natural Resources will use this grant to build a 23-stall parking lot and trail to the Little Si Trailhead in the Mount Si Natural Resources Conservation Area near North Bend. The Little Si Trail system is one of the most popular in the Puget Sound area. On many weekends, cars fill the parking lot and then park illegally along the narrow roadway adjacent to homes. Development of the new parking area will improve public safety and reduce conflicts between residences and hikers.

The project is located in section 11, Township 23N, Range 8E. Drive East on I90 to exit 32. Turn left on 436th Ave SE. At ""T"" instersection, turn left onto North Bend Way. Drive .3 miles and turn right onto Mount Si Road. Goover Bridge and project are on the north side of the road to the right of cabin.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
