This project constructs a skate park on approximately 13,000 square feet of property owned by the Cascade School District. The District has entered into an interlocal agreement with the city for use of the property, saving money on property acquisition. The project is a high priority in the city's 1997 Parks & Recreation Comprehensive Plan. The site is located at Cascade High School, and provides convenient access to the school's outdoor tennis courts, ballfields, gym and other attractions. The site is located along a visible street area, away from residences.

From Highway 2 In Leavenworth, turn North on Chumstick Highway and travel approximately 1/4 miles to Cascade High School. The project site is between the High School parking lot and the road.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
