Lalonde Creek Park

The City of Vancouver is requesting WWRP assistance to purchase a 7.7 acre neighborhood park site. The new park will be located in a rapidly growing residential area two miles northeast of the Vancouver city limits and will provide the only outdoor recreation facilities within the site’s 0.5 mile service area radius. Lalonde Creek flows across the northeast corner of the property. Future improvements will include picnic tables, children’s play equipment, a hard-surfaced play court, an open play meadow, and pedestrian and bicycle trails.
Location
Lalonde Creek Park is located on the north side of NE 99th Street one mile east of Gaiser Middle School. From Interstate 5, take the 99th Street exit and drive two miles east.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
