Kent Service Club Park Phase 1

This project develops a four-field youth ballfield complex on 14.5 acres on East Hill in Kent. Four lighted youth fields will be built including a 280 stall parking lot, play equipment, restroom/shelter building, site furniture, landscaping, and fencing. Eight service clubs have committed cash and labor toward the ballfield development. This joint community project will provide much needed ballfields for Kent's youth baseball and softball teams comprised of 3,000 athletes. Eighty-five percent of the participants live on East Hill where there are no City owned ballfields for either youth or adults.

From Hwy 18 take the Kent Kangley/Covington Exit and go west. Turn south (left) on to 144th Ave. Go approx. one mile, turn left on to 288th St., turn left into the first driveway.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
