This proposal improves and increases public access to a 36.5-mile segment of the John Wayne Pioneer Trail from Cedar Falls to Cabin Creek, crossing near Snoqualimie Pass. It opens additional bridges and bypasses, unsafe features left from railroading. Elements include: trailhead access, snow shed bypass, safety barriers, bridge decking, and abutments.

Location

In King and Kittitas Counties just off I-90. This segment begins at Cedar Falls and runs for 36.56 miles east to Cabin Creek. Cedar Falls Trailhead: exit 32 off I-90 - proceed East on Cedar Falls Rd for approx 6 miles to recreation area.

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
