Fairgrounds Community Park - Phase 1

Vancouver will use this grant to begin development of an 88-acre community park in the rapidly developing residential area of north Vancouver. This park will be the only community park in an area of more than 20,000 people. Development will include a basketball court, bocce court, children's play equipment, benches, picnic tables, two picnic shelters, restrooms, more than 3 miles of trail, wetland and habitat restoration, viewing platforms, parking and support facilities. Vancouver will contribute nearly $3.3 million.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
