Vancouver will use this grant to buy a 2.4-acre neighborhood park in a heavily developed residential area in northeast Vancouver known as East Image. The neighborhood is fully developed, and the property provides the only opportunity for a nearly 3-acre park in the area. The park would serve about 3,950 people. Future improvements will include open play fields, trails, children's play equipment, picnic tables and a sports court. Vancouver will contribute $220,201.

I-5 south to I-205 south; Exit at Padden Parkway, head east approx. 3 miles; Right (south) onto NE 137th Avenue; Right (west) onto NE 39th Street; Left (south) onto NE 135th Avenue; Right (west) onto NE 36th Street Subject property on right-hand (north) side of NE 36th.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
