Deception Pass - Odell Property Acq
- Status
- Funded in 1999
One of Deception Pass State Park’s most popular facilities is the campground at Bowman Bay. With this acquisition, State Parks will protect and manage a key parcel on the hillside above this historic CCC waterfront campground. Trails and possibly a viewpoint will be developed in the future.
Location
Deception Pass State Park is located on both the Skagit County and Island County sides of Deception Pass. The Deception Pass Bridge is located on Highway 20 and connects Fidalgo and Whidbey Islands. This project is in the Skagit County portion of Deception Pass State Park, off of Highway 20, north of the D.P. bridge. Driving south on Highway 20 down Fidalgo Island (Anacortes), enter Deception Pass State Park, with Pass Lake on your right. Bowman Bay and Rosario Beach campgrounds and day use areas are accessed via Rosario Road, which you would turn onto to your right past Pass Lake. The Odell property extends from Rosario Road to the edge of the Bowman Bay campground.
