Crossroads Community Pk. Water Play Area

Bellevue will use this grant to construct a 35,000-square-foot accessible water play area at Crossroads Community Park. This will be the first playground in the city specifically designed for people with physically disabilities, and the first to incorporate water as a significant play element. The park also will include family gathering places and restrooms. The project is a partnership between Bellevue and the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club, which has raise $100,000. Bellevue will contribute $550,000 in cash, donations and three grants.
Location
From I-405, take the NE 8th Street exit going east. Turn left onto 164th Avenue NE, continue for ½ block. Parking lot entrance is on the left side of the street. From SR-520, take the 148th Street exit. Turn south from the off ramp. Follow 148th, turn left on onto NE 8th Street. Turn left onto 164th Avenue NE, continue for ½ block. Parking lot entrance is on the left side of the street.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
