Colville Swimming Pool

Status
Funded in 2001
WWRP Applicant: City of Colville WWRP Category: Local Parks WWRP Grant: $100,000 Applicant Match: $100,000 Project Type: Development County: Stevens  Legislative District: 7th

Colville's municipal swimming pool was constructed in 1954 and has been in constant use since that time. The facility has been well maintained over the years but is starting to show signs of old age. A recent study conducted by an engineer and swimming pool consultant outlined a renovation and retrofit project that will substantially extend the life of the facility. The pool provides summer recreation opportunities for city and county residents of all ages. It is the only competition pool within a 45-mile radius. The local swim team holds its practices and home meets here. The community places a high value on this facility and this project will allow the city to maintain a level of service that has been in place for decades.

RCO Project Number: 00-1580

Location

The Colville Municipal pool is located in Yep Kanum Park. From Hwy 395 turn East on Dominion for three blocks.

State Senators cherry pick projects, ignore WWRP rankings

The State Senate's proposed budget slashes Washington Wildlife & Recreation Program funding to almost half of what Governor Inslee recommended while favoring poorly ranked projects over highly ranked ones. The WWRP's independent ranking system is the key to its years of success, ensuring only the best projects get funded. Take action & urge your legislators to restore full funding today!

LWCF full funding bill reintroduced

Baucus (MT), Burr (NC), and Wyden (OR) & 4 cosponsors have introduced a new bill, the “Land and Water Conservation Authorization and Funding Act of 2013,” to provide full, permanent and dedicated funding for LWCF. Please join us in asking Senators Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray to renew their support and once again co-sponsor the bill!
