Columbia Park Aquatic Playground

This development project builds a community picnic and water-play recreation feature in the east end of Columbia Park, a 380-acre regional waterfront park. Changes include remodeling an existing restroom to code; construction of a group picnic shelter; horseshoe court; a trail segment to connect to a river front trail; zero-depth aquatic spray playground; and related amenities. The new features are in a 15-acre family use area, adjacent to a family fishing pond, play structure, and improved parking. The improvements will provide for accessible group picnic activities and safe water play. Volunteer efforts will commit funds and time to the project.
Location
On SR-240 enter Columbia Park at the Edison Street Interchange, proceed east on the park road, Columbia Park Trail to the large parking lot west of the Family Fishing Pond.

What is the WWRP?
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
