Clallam Bay Property Acquisition
- Status
- Funded in 2011
Clallam County Parks, Fair and Facilities Division will use this grant to buy 7.45 acres in the community of Clallam Bay. The County owns the adjacent parcel and, with this purchase, would create a place for a future, 8.64-acre park. The waterfront property would provide year-round access to Clallam Bay, on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Water access sites are limited in this area, with the county’s Clallam Bay Spit Park only allowing limited public access because of recent flooding and a washed out bridge. Future development would include paving the entry road and parking area, and installing a vault toilet, picnic tables, and barbeque grills.
