This project in Pierce County creates a much needed park for a small rural community. Development at the .67-acre site will include playground equipment, horseshoe pits, picnic tables, benches, a group shelter, open space and parking. The park will be landscaped and accessible to people with disabilities.

Location

From the north, turn right off of Hwy 165 into the Town of Carbonado. Take first right which will be Farm Street. Go approximately 2 blocks and the park will be on the left.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
