This goal of this project is to purchase approximately 20 acres of uplands in the vicinity of the Beard's Hollow area of Cape Disappointment State Park. State Parks has recently acquired approximately 80 acres of dune area and uplands and has additional opportunities to protect the viewshed. State Parks may acquire property outside the viewshed, which would serve as a new location for administrative and maintenance shops, a visitor contact point and park shuttle bus station.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
