This project is for the acquisition and development of a 2+ acre parcel for a neighborhood park. Development will include playground equipment, park furniture, area lighting, shelter, pickleball court, tether ball, volleyball, landscaping, pathways and fencing. The service area, which is primarily single-family residential housing, is bordered by several major arterials and has few recreational opportunities for children and families in a safe, accessible location.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
