Camano Island - Cama Beach, Phase 2 98
- Status
- Funded in 1999
The combination of private generosity and WWRP aid will create a new saltwater park with day use facilities, fishing, crabbing, and swimming on almost a mile of shoreline at Cama Beach, on Camano Island. The property was acquired previously with a private donation and WWWRP financial assistance. This project will add picnic shelters, provide essential parking areas, construct two day use comfort stations and a combination visitor information/park administration building. Interpretive signs will illustrate the site’s former use a private camp and fishing resort. Trails will connect with the county’s cross-island trail system.
Location
Cama Beach Resort is located in Island County on the southwest shoreline of Camano Island, 14 miles southwest of Stanwood, WA.
What is the WWRP?
