Burnt Bridge Creek Trail

This project finishes key sections of an 8-mile, shared-use, regional trail system that extends east/west through the City of Vancouver along the Burnt Bridge Creek Greenway. It will complete the trail system and provide continuous access through many of Vancouver's most populated residential areas. Key elements of this project include a pedestrian overpass across Interstate 5 and two miles of new trail. The trail will connect a wide range of schools, parks, and other major features. The trail provides opportunities for hiking, jogging, and biking in the center of an urban area with over 230,000 people, and supports major walking and biking events such as Vancouver's annual Discovery Walk Festival, which attracts hundreds of people each year from the throughout the United States, Canada, and other countries.

Location

From Main Street in Vancouver, drive east 1/2 mile on 39th Street to Leverich Park. Leverich is located immediately east of I-5 overpass location. Also, the new 2-mile trail segment follows BPA corridor between Divine Road and 18th Street.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
