Added 14 acres along the Black River to the 67 acres already in Renton's ownership. In the highly developed Green River Valley, the project provides additional protection of unique and critical wildlife, including over 65 species of waterfowl and 35 species of mammals. Additionally, there are six rare species of vegetation.

What is the WWRP?

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
