Bear Creek Park Trail Development
- Status
- Funded in 2003
The city of Redmond, in east King County, will develop approximately one-half mile of multi-use trail within Bear Creek Park. This project will link the existing trail underpass at Union Hill Road with Redmond Way. A trail crossing light is currently under design by the City. The trail will then tie into the existing trail at Town Center, which links to the Sammamish River Trail. This project is a phase of the Bear & Evans Creek Trail & Greenway, a trail system that connects to four regional trails and provides looped trails around the City of Redmond. The twelve-foot wide trail will be barrier-free along with a 150 foot buffer. The trail provides great scenic values of Bear Creek, one of the largest native salmonid migration routes in the state.
Location
From the end of SR 520 at Redmond Way, turn left (east) to the first shopping center, approximately 500 feet. Turn right (north). Bear Creek Park is located east of the shops (Safeway, etc).
