Land and Water Conservation Fund: Federal Program in Washington State

Information and project list of the federal LWCF program in Washington State

The Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) supports acquisition, development and conservation easements of our nation's most precious lands and waters. The LWCF contains two programs: federal acquisitions and state grants. The federal projects are administered through four federal agencies – the National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Forest Service – supporting land acquisitions for the countries most treasured and endangered areas.

Take action to save the Land and Water Conservation Fund!

These projects help us protect the most valuable areas in Washington. Areas like Mount Rainier and Olympic Nation Parks, Skagit Wild and Scenic River, Snoqualimie National Forest and Willapa National Wildlife Refuge are what make Washington an ideal tourist destination and an amazing place to live.
