Dicks joins two conservation boards

— Former U.S. Rep. Norm Dicks has been appointed to the boards of Washington Wildlife and Recreation Coalition and Long Live the Kings.

WWRC is the nonprofit group that makes annual recommendations to the Legislature regarding funding for state parks, wildlife areas, waterways and working farms. The group includes a wide variety of board members, including representatives of REI, Boeing, Washington Realtors, Nature Conservancy and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Among the 46 board members, Dicks and six other new members were appointed unanimously by the existing board.
